Troop 42: Meeting Monday 4/7

We will have a SHORT meeting Monday night in order for everyone to be able to watch the KU game.

The agenda will include, among other things,:

1. Sign up for the April Campout. The cost will be APPROXIMATELY $27. We will cook in Patrols so $7 of that needs to be in CASH. A flyer will be available.

2. Final details for the KC Brigade game - this is a FAMILY activity night (next week, 4/14). There may have been some confusion about that last week so you can still sign up. The cost is $10 per person which includes parking.

There may be some additional last minute details discussed but this meeting will be BRIEF. Call me with any questions.

Please show your support for our scouts by attending Monday night's Court of Honor,

March 24th, 7 pm at Oakwood Baptist Church.

Scouts need to wear the Class A uniform.

Troop 42: First Year scouts, Patrol Leaders, & Quartermasters

Tonight's meeting is for QMs, PLs, & First Year scouts.

The First Year scouts will be meeting with Daniel Philyaw and will need to bring your scout books.

Troop 42: Meeting (3/3)

Due to the extremely wet conditions at Mr. Meyers farm, we will be camping at Longview Lake.

The cost will still be $10 (cash please) and we will stick with the original agenda - leaving Saturday morning and coming home Sunday morning. An agenda is attached and will be available at tonight's meeting.

Monday night's meeting will be for Patrol Leaders only, not Quartermasters.

We will also have several (7 or 8) Boards of Review and are in need of adults to run them. The more adult participation we have, the more quickly we can get through the reviews.

We will be discussing the GAGE campout/lock-in at Monday night's meeting. The cost will be approximately $30 ea.

A parent MUST BE PRESENT to sign a release form.

In addition, all first year scouts will meet with the leadership patrol.

Please make note of the following changes to the Troop calendar.

Parent meeting nights:

January 22nd is now January 29th

April 22nd is now April 29th

July 22nd is now July 29th

The program that was used to publish the Troop calendar malfunctioned causing these errors.

Parent meetings are typically the last Tuesday of every month. You will be informed when rescheduling is necessary.

Troop 42 Meeting on 1/21

Even though Monday is a holiday and there is no school, we still need to have a meeting. There are some last minute details related to the ski event that need to be addressed. Everyone signed up for the event is highly encouraged to attend. We also have some other activities planned.

So, we will have a regular meeting Monday night at 7:00 pm.

Troop 42 Activity Night info (1/14)

Details for the activity night for next Monday are as follows.

What: Bowling

Where: AMF Strike Market, 3rd St & 291 Hwy in Lee's Summit

Wear: Your Troop 42 t-shirt

When: Monday, January 14th, 7:00 - 9:00 pm

How much: FREE for scouts, $10 for Adults

We will meet AT STRIKE MARKET...not at the church. Please be on time so we can get as many lanes as possible right away.

Adults will be allowed to bowl once all scouts are accommodated if space permits. (They have a limited number of lanes available at this time of the week.) The cost of bowling and shoe rental will be paid by the troop. Snacks and drinks are on your own.

Please wear your troop t-shirt or sweatshirt just as you would for a regular meeting.

Troop 42 Reminder: Campout Flyer & Calendar Corrections

I hope that everone had a nice holiday and that the new year is starting off on a positive note.

Troop 42 will be starting the new year this next Monday night (January 7th). Please plan to attend this meeting and if you plan to go on the January 25th campout to Snow Creek, signup and payment is due at that meeting.

We have some new scouts coming over from Pack 42. Please seek them out and make them feel most welcome. They'll need our help & support as they continue their scouting life as Boy Scouts.
