This is a reminder that the Popcorn Sales orders need to be turned in at the Monday night meeting on October 22nd.

Troop 42 REMINDER: Lakewood Directory Delivery

Meet TONIGHT, 5:30 pm at the Main Clubhouse on Lake Drive to assemble bags for delivery Saturday. Even if you can only give an hour or so, that would help us get a jump on Saturday.

Then meet SATURDAY, 9:00 am, same place, to delivery the directories. We hope to be done by noon, ending with a pizza lunch.

ALL SCOUTS SHOULD WEAR THEIR TROOP 42 T-SHIRT (or sweatshirt!!).

To confirm what was discussed last night and to correct an earlier email message, here are the final details of the Lakewood Directory distribution.

Who: All members of Troop 42 are invited/encouraged to attend.

What: Prepare directories for distribution: stuff directories and flyers into bags.

Where: Meet in the basement at the Lakewood Main Clubhouse on Lake Drive.

When: This Friday night, Sept 14th, 5:30 pm

Then for Saturday:

Who: All members of Troop 42 are invited/encouraged to attend.

What: Distribute directories and stuff any remaining directories and flyers into bags.

Where: Meet in the basement at the Lakewood Main Clubhouse on Lake Drive.

When: Saturday morning, Sept 15th, 9:00 am.

The goal for Friday night is to get a good number of bags ready for distribution Saturday. If we can get them all ready, that would be a bonus.

Parents, there were about a half dozen or so who volunteered to drive/help with this project. We could use another 4-6 drivers/helpers so we won't have to work all day. The goal Saturday is to be done by noon, culminating with a pizza lunch.

Please drop me a note if you are able to help this weekend. Let me know if you can help (parents and scouts) Friday, Saturday or both, even if you were at the meeting last night. I'd like to get an idea of who will be there so we can have enough donuts and pizza!

Your help with the Lakewood Directory project is vital. A common question is, "How long will it take?" The answer is, "It depends on how many people participate." If two drivers and 5 scouts show up it will take 3 or 4 days. If 15 drivers and 30 scouts show up it should only take a few hours.

We will be putting the new directory in a bag along with a Troop/Pack 42 information flyer (thank you Susan Escher!) and hopefully some other local business flyers. We are being compensated for our time.
