Troop 42: Personal Fitness and Citz in Nation MB
To the Troop 42 Scouts:
I haven't mentioned them at the meetings lately but that doesn't mean you can't turn in your work. If you have questions about your progress, check with the MB counselor: Mr. Foss for Personal Fitness or Mr. Hobbs for Citz in the Nation. Their contact information is in the directory. If you have lost your directory or don't have one, let me know.
When you call, speak clearly and write down your questions in advance. Then write down the answers and instructions when they are given.
We will start another MB after the holidays. Don't forget to come next Monday to sign up for the Merit Badge Academy next March.
Give me a call with any questions.
Don Dyer
To the Parents: help us teach the boys to be self-reliant. If a call to a MB counselor needs to be made let them do it. That way they learn/strengthen communication skills. By all means follow up with them to make sure they (and you) understand what was said and what needs to be done. And certainly push them to get it done. It doesn't get any easier the older they get, trust me. Thanks for your help!
For those of you working on these two Merit Badges, don't give up. Set a goal for yourself to have them completed in time to be presented at the December 17th Court of Honor.
