Training Opportunity

Heart of America Council, BSA Scoutmaster/Assistant Scoutmaster Training Offered at Summer Camp for 2007 During the 2007 Boy Scout Camping at both the Bartle Scout Reservation and Naish Scout Reservation the Training Committee will be offering "Scoutmastership Fundamentals" during each session. Scoutmaster/Assistant Scoutmaster Training will teach practical ways to instill the eight methods of Scouting into your troop programs. The eight methods of Scouting are: 1 - Ideas 2 - Patrol Method 3 - Outdoors 4 - Advancement 5 - Association with Adults 6 - Personal Growth 7 - Leadership Development 8 - Uniform Completing this course will give confidence that being a Scoutmaster is a manageable challenge, provide knowledge of the abundant resources available, make you part of a supportive team of leaders working to deliver the "Promise of Scouting" to the youth of America, and help you develop a short action plan to apply eight methods of Scouting at the troop level.
